I am looking to replace a plant that was in one of our customer's yard. He said it looks similar to a pot plant when not in bloom but when it blooms it has a beautiful red flower. He said the name of it was Texas Rose but I can not find this online. Anyone know what kind of plant this really is and where I could find one?
Texas Rose?
I got my plants as "pass alongs" from another gardening friend here in Georgia. They are easy to propagate from seed - seeds are large and black. They reseed here often but not aggressively.
Source should be easy. Look locally. I believe this is the Texas state flower, but I could be wrong.
Swamp Hibiscus, Scarlet Rose Mallow, Texas Star, Scarlet Hibiscus (Hibiscus coccineus)
Reply:poisen ivy looks like pot too and blooms really pretty maybe it is that,
