There someone i befriended on facebook and we have become really close. his dad died, can i call him?

we've been chatting on facebook for months now, and have exchanged addresses. when i heard i sent him flowers and he was moved. the problem is that i really feel that i haven't done enough and i want to call and convey the fact that i'm thinking of him. if i find his number online (which i'm pretty sure i can), is it weird to call?

Naw I think he might need a friend to talk to at this time. I was like that when my mother died and I was happy to have my best friend to call me and let me know that it will be okay. So I wouldn't think its weird at all. Just talk to him and let him know that you here for him.
Reply:If he gave you his phone number then i dont see why you couldnt call and offer your condolenses. He will know that you are a good friend even if you havent met in person.
