Do you have free website advice to help me design my own website for starter samll business?
Hi Cherry,

I guess you are writing from the UK. If so, and you need a cheap website take this advice - all web development (IT) courses have loads of students that need a number of business projects. Our local college are always asking for businesses to be used as 'guinea pigs' for their students and the results are better that you would (perhaps) expect - the cost is zero - maybe there will be a small charge from your local college.

Once you've got your website you will need to get people to come to it. The only way to do this is by using an Internet Marketing service - look at http://www.optillion.co.uk

Best of luck and I hope your business is profitable .

Reply:I used Mr Site for my website - I found it quite difficult to get my head around at first but I am proud of myself that I eventually managed to do it and it is quite successful. You can just buy the package from them or from PC world and it is everything you need to get started with an online shop for about £30.
Reply:It's going to be hard to be taken seriously if you have a free website host. While they are available the customers will be bombarded with various pop ups and banner ads for all kinds of businesses. If you want to portray a professional image, get a professional web host which now cost under $20 a month. Check out Yahoo Small Business or Ebay's ProStores. Both services are very easy to customize. If you don't have a business license, get one! You will be able to take sweet tax credits for your sweet business. Why wouldn't you want to write off your costs of business in an effort to make income? Any business related expenses are a write off and that includes education, travel and even meals for business purposes. You can write off your business cards, home rental space, some utilities, business cell phone / voice mail, and so much more. If you are thinking of a business, make it profitable. You don't have to run out and spend thousands of dollars but at least get an image of quality out there. I have never bought from a company with a free website... have you???
Reply:I maybe going into business soon with this kind of thing, I am no proffessional website designer but i can do something for you freely maybe you can advertise for me on your site. Email me at inferlogic1@aol.com if your interested.
Reply:The Internet has been alternately viewed as the solver of all business problems and as an unregulated and expensive technological monster. What is true is that the Internet has changed the way business is done, and no company can afford to simply turn its back in the hope that it will go away.

This guide examines the benefits of putting your business online and takes you through the first practical steps you will need to take to establish your presence on the World Wide Web.

You could get a domain name (.co.uk) for about £6 from 123-reg.co.uk.

You can get 100mb free hosting from 100webspace.com.

With that information you can set up your online shoip for £6!

Once you have money, you might want to consider www.fortune3.com. It costs from £15 per month and is very simple to use. You fill in your product details and pick a template. They set the rest up for you. It includes shopping carts, credit card payments, shipping, inventories - everything you need to run your own business. In one package

Hope they help
Reply:If you are serious about business it is not a good idea to have a free website but go for a good one. You can get many free hosting companies but they will be useless to you. They will be advertising their business on your site and you do not get the information you need to monitor your business.
Reply:Difficult and may not help. Best you can do is spend some small money to a programmer on a freelance sites. You will get your job done at most cost effective prices. You can find how projects like yours are outsourced on freelance sites at my blog http://freeonlinemoneymakingideas.blogsp...

Try it.
