Bonsai tree questions?

1 What is a good, beautiful kind of tree that makes a good bonsai tree? preferably flowering or with fruit but i'm open to anything



2 I love this kind of tree that is a forest bonsai tree with a stream in the middle. Are there any good pictures of this kind online?

Reply:First, you must determine if you want to keep your bonsai inside or outside, then select a species that will grow well in that environment. Take a look at the various species on my site:

http://www.american-bonsai.com . You'll also want to read the Bonsai Care page to get a better idea of what to do.
Reply:Moreton Bay Fig trees make wonderful bonsai, and are relatively easy for beginners. There are a lot of trees/shrubs that make great bonsai, Japanese maple, a lot of conifers, and there are a lot of modified fruit trees out there that make good bonsai plants like ornamental plums and cherries. A good nursery will point you in the right direction; don`t be scared to try anything though, you may be surprised! Good luck with your bonsai hobby, I hope you will find it as rewarding as I do.
