Flower buyers. Need help marketing.?

Lets say that I wanted to look for businesses who need flowers weekly and want to set up a monthly account or what not. Do you have any ideas where I would start? Maybe a retirement home or something of that sort? Or is there any online services or softwares that may help me? I really just need advice on marketing so I can manage my florist better.

you can start from anywhere - restaurants, offices, private residency. I've seen live plants in upscale restaurants, lawyer's offices, and not so much in retirement homes ; but hey, it depends where your business is located - it makes complete sense to start with ret homes if you are somewhere in Spain for example.

Software?! i think a simple table in excel will do the job for the beginning. you can list in few columns the most important info that you should follow

%26gt; address/contact/inventory of the store from which you buy flowers

%26gt; price [buying selling]

%26gt; address of the location where you will deliver

%26gt; date/time of delivery

%26gt; contact person

%26gt; invoice

%26gt; etc.

Reply:Sounds like you want to start selling - I would get ACT software to keep your records in. Then you can start approaching office buildings, hotels, restaurants, etc. You might want to offer them a discount if they leave your card on the flowers - so if someone likes thm they know where they come from.



Take some pictures and price lists out with you - if you have a competitor in town that is pricey - go in and undercut him by a bit - to get the business - if they agree to use you for a set period of time - like 6 months minimum.
