On a first date does a guy always tell you that your pretty?

There's this guy I went out with as a blind date, and he had mentioned to me before that I was very pretty when he saw my pix's, but the day we went out he didn't mention anything, but then the next morning he was looking for me online, and told me that I was really pretty, and that he wishes that he could have taken flowers for me. What do you thing about this?

If all you want is a living, talking mirror, then fine; just let a dude know. As long as you're up'ing the goods, I'm sure he'll have no problem telling you you're "pretty" (oops, damn, forgot---"very pretty") all night long.

Reply:If he tells you your pretty, then that is what he thinks. if you fundamentaly beleive that people are honest, then he is paying you a complement. if you beleive that people are deceptive and say things to get their means, then you have your answer.
Reply:I think he was nervous in person, thought you were pretty and wished he had brought you flowers.
Reply:Well it's easy to see that he is shy and I do beleive that he thinks you are pretty. I tell my gf all the time that she is beautiful. Hopefully next time he gets you flowers and tells you in person.
