What do you think of these colors (pics included)?

Bought my bridemaids dresses online. I bought silk flowers for the bouquets. When the dresses finally arrived last week, I was super excited because I could finally match the flowers w/the dresses %26amp; thought it looked sooo pretty.



Then my aunt saw the combination %26amp; burst my bubble by saying, "Well, it certainly is ..%26lt;insert long pause%26gt;..bright." :(



But that's what I wanted ~ bright, happy colors. I mean, it's a *wedding* for cryin' out loud ;) What do you all think?

What do you think of these colors (pics included)?
I really like it. Actually the color of your flowers and deep red and yellow are my main colors.



I agree, bright just seems so nice during a wedding. Why would I want dark during such a happy occasion?

Reply:Love the color of the dress, but I don't think the flowers match. I would have used yellow, dark blue and purple as well as white. Congratulations

Reply:it is very gorgeous! if your aunt is pretty much older then 40 then she is probably like my mother and prefers the more traditional look of white roses and etc.

Reply:I think the flower colors look good with your bridesmaids dresses. So what if they're bright- this is a wedding, not a funeral. You're supposed to have cheery colors. I would stick with what you have- it looks good.

Reply:I like the color families. You didn't state what time of the year you're getting married. This is very pretty for summer. However, I would add more of the blue/aqua tone into the bouquets to tie things together. Don't worry about your aunt ... go w/ what you like!

Reply:What MATTERS is that your happy. Your aunt should be more concerned with what makes you happy then what makes her happy, PLUS those are gorgeous!! It is a great combination its very alive, vibrant, don't change anything!!
Reply:Colors are fine... just hope your not using those fake flowers... they look cheap and they have an unnatural coloring to them. If you got real flowers- it would look great.
Reply:no, i think it'll be gorgeous. as long as it's summer wedding, obviously. it's your wedding, you need to be happy with it. you don't want to regret ANYHTING about your wedding. that's going to be one of the happiest memories in your life. don't change it because someone else doesn't like it.

Reply:I think it will look nice if it's a spring, outdoorsy kind of wedding. Maybe in a park or at the beach? Might be a bit much in a church, though... just my opinion.

Reply:My daughter married at 19 and wanted bright fun colours.

She had hot pink as the primary colour



Now when we look at her wedding photos we are reminded about what a wonderful fun day it was.



Unfortunately when i married, i listened to every aunt, sister and grandparent that had an opinion and when i look at my wedding photos over 20 years later i am always reminded that my wedding day was what others wanted, not what i wanted.



It's your day, do it your way.

Reply:I think it looks lovely, but I would take out the pink and add blue flowers...maybe keep one or two pinks. I got beautiful silk blue flowers for my son's Bar Mitzvah on ebay.

throw in some cream flowers and i think you are going to have great looking bouquets.



i'm doing silks too and mine came out better than i could have anticipated, they are flipping beautiful!!!!
