Default A few questions... keyboard combos for cute little pictures/symbols in Windows :o)?

Pls read entire question before answering. :o) Thanks!

Wondering how to make cute little pics/symbols with key combinations ~

I know you can make these symbols w/ Alt + 1-9 ????????○ and these appear by default. I do not have any shortcuts set up for these Alt+ 1-9.

I know there are other ones that appear by default like flowers, suns, moons, stars, arrows, other faces %26amp; many others.

When I use Alt + 1-9, where is the symbol coming from? Is there a chart somewhere that shows every single cute little picture you can make with key combos?

If I were to set up short cut keys in MS Word for Wingdings, would those pics work out of MS Word?

I searched online but only found symbols that actually mean something.. don't want those ~ just want cute little pictures.?

Can you please list any that you know of and any sites or places on my computer where I can find this specific info? Also, let me know if the MS Wingdings shortcuts would work and where Alt+ 1-9 pics come from.

Thanks!

I don't know any of the keyboard shortcuts for those symbols, but you can access all of them using your character map: Start -%26gt; Programs -%26gt; Accessories -%26gt; System Tools

From there, you can choose the character you want and the corresponding keyboard shortcut will show up in the lower left corner.
Reply:Click the START BUTTON, point to RUN and click it.

Type: charmap

Hope this helps. There are tons of encoding systems in the charmap application you just have to snoop around in there with allthe options and crap.

Good Luck,
