My grandfather needs this patch to complete his collection and I was wondering if I described it if someone might know what it is called?
It looks kind of like a 6 petal flower outline with a star in the middle. All surrounded by a circle. I cant find a pic anywhere online so I dont even have that to offer. Not sure of the colors, just that it reminded me of a cottonball at first.
Do you know what this army patch is?
I found a picture of a poster online. The type is pretty small, but I think that the name underneath that patch is
"Headquarters Services of Supply and Services of Supply Overhead"
Doing further investigation, I came up with a blank. Check out the picture of the poster, though.
Reply:If you know what he did in the army, that would help...
If he was infantry, Armor, Field Artillery..etc, etc...
Here is a link to patches. Just pick his "branch" and do a little search...

Reply:Sounds like the Army Service Forces patch from World War 2.
If he is a collector, he's probably interested in an authentic patch from WWII. There are places where you can buy reproductions, so if you try and obtain one, be careful that it isn't a copy.
See the link below for a picture of it.
Reply:It'd help a lot if you'd give the unit name/designation of the patch. There are literally thousands of patches worn (or have been worn) by Army units.
Robert N: You weren't ex-Tomb Guard, were ya?
