I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to figure out what this beautiful flower is that is growing in my garden. I will try to give the best description I can. It is a light pink color. The petals are HUGE with long, yellow hairs on the inside. They are quite fragrant, and ants LOVE them. The leaves are smooth around the edges, and are longer than they are wider. They seem to be perrenials, because they came up at this time last year. I don't think they are wildflowers. I love them, but I can't seem to find any info on them online. Anyone with any clues to what this may be would be a great help. By the way, I live in New Hampshire. Thanks alot.
What kind of flower is this? for God's sake!!?

Reply:Head to your local library. Most libraries will have gardening books with color pictures of garden plants, plus those of native plants that might have 'volunteered' themselves.
Reply:It sounds like a variety of iris.
Reply:I think they might be peonies
Maybe google it? That sounds about right
Good luck! =)
Reply:they sound exactly like peonies
