Need some help with planning? my best friend is getting married and i am maid of honor?

where do we start in looking for flowers and invitations and such? i am helping with the whole process%26lt; she is a manager of a salon and very busy%26gt; where would be some easy, helpful online sites? i have been looking and they don't seem to be what i am looking for. we are in Jefferson, ga and working on a budget. she loves lilies and the dress is going to be green and black%26lt; his tux is a camouflage tux%26gt; the wedding is in march, and i like to plan way ahead%26lt; always beed like that!%26gt; thanks!

It's never to early to start the planning. For invitations, have you two thought of doing them yourselves. With all the paper options out there and computers they are easy to make and look fantastic.

they have "wedding in a box" options that are reasonable priced. But with the unusual color scheme you could order any kind of flowers through them. Great prices and great flowers.
Reply:Just be sure that you are following HER wishes. I mean if she has given you total power over choosing, fine; but do have a talk with her about exactly how many decisions you can make without her.

Reply:If your on a budget then fake flowers is the way to go. Many arts and crafts stores offer weekly coupons so you can also save that way. Another way to keep it cheap is to make the arrangements yourself and since theyre fake you can make them very early on and if you find that you dont like them you can redo them. As far as invitations go, just searching the web or if you sign up on wedding channel .com you can select wich magazines you would like shipped to you and all companies will send you a sample of any invitation that you would like to see for free. Also try oriental trading magazine to get customized napkins, glasses, party favors ect. They do a very good job and they are very cheap. Since one of the colors is black, you might want to go shopping right after halloween to get cheaper fabric and ribbon. But good luck. And congratulations on being the MOH.
Reply:Well being a Maid of Honor is a big responsibility. Kudos to you for starting and planning ahead of time. March is soon approaching though!! It will really depend on what kind of budget you are working with. You said that a couple sites you found were not what you were looking for, what are you looking for in an online site? I am getting married July 19, 2008 and I started my planning last month, and have found a lot of great ideas lots of sites. Are you planning on doing flowers yourself--real or fake? Are you planning on doing invitations yourself. If you are, in google just type in making your own bouquet and it gives you step by step instructions. Looking at Dollar stores I have found at least 3 different types of do it yourself invitations just need a computer, they are beautiful and only cost $10.00 for 40 invitations, reply cards, etc. houseofbrides.com is a great site for discount, gowns, bridal jewelry sets, shoes, and accesories--trust me its amazing.
