What to do about the 'work spouse'?

My boyfriend works at the University in our area on one campus and he met a girl who works at another campus location. they have to work collaboratively on a lot of things so they talk a lot on the phone, online, etc.

They also talk a lot online after work at home. I didnt really mind but then one day while I was looking at our visa bill I noticed he bought flowers for $60.00. I asked him about it and he said it was for her birthday. I wouldnt mind, but it was the day before our 2nd anniversary and he said he didnt think we should bother with gifts. AND when I asked him earlier if he got her anything he said no.

He says he knows it looks bad, but theres really nothing going one. Im just worried theres more to this than a work relationship. I know they're really good friends and since the owkr together its not like I can expect him to stop talking to her. What should I do about it?

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but they are not working together on a project. No sane man would do the things he is doing, and no live-in girlfriend or wife should put up with this. I'd give him the old ultimatum. Sorry.
Reply:If it were me, I would not be dating him anymore.Talking online after work is bad enough--I think he is lying about even working with her on a project. The $60 for flowers for her birthday is a big tipoff right there. And he didn't even get YOU anything for your anniversary. That's just wrong. I think he's lying like a rug, honestly. I think you can do better.



PS-I am in total agreement with the person who posted below me. This guy is lying through his teeth.
